Andy Reid becomes first to receive Caitlin Clark’s Chiefs-inspired shoes and cannot hide his excitement

Andy Reid has spent more than a decade surrounded by Kansas City Chiefs red, but Caitlin Clark found a new way to place the team’s colors in his hands. The Chiefs head coach became the first person to receive her new “Sea of Red” Nike Caitlin 1 shoes.

“I got my new ‘Sea of Red’ Caitlin 1s right here from Caitlin Clark,” Reid said while proudly holding the sneakers. “I appreciate you, girl.”

Reid then expanded his message beyond Clark and celebrated the entire league. “All the ladies of the WNBA, you guys are unbelievable, man. Keep cranking,” he said before returning his attention to one of the WNBA’s biggest stars.

“Love watching you, Caitlin. I love the color, man. Look at these things,” Reid added. “It’s the same color you wear, and here we are, Chiefs. Love it, baby.”

The gift connects two of Clark’s biggest passions. She has supported the Chiefs since childhood and is now preparing to release her first Nike signature shoe on October 1.
