“Approved by Tay!”: Travis and Jason Kelce reveal details about Taylor Swift’s new dog on ‘New Heights’

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift managed to keep one member of their household largely out of the spotlight for more than a year.

That changed this week when Kelce publicly introduced Wendy , the couple’s white Samoyed, after she appeared alongside him in Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall 2026 campaign and became a talking point on the season premiere of New Heights. Jason Kelce was the first to let the name slip.

“I didn’t know that Wendy was out of the bag,” Jason said on the September 2 episode.

Travis quickly confirmed it and joked that the dog now has a career of her own.

“She is officially a picture dog,” he said. “We gotta get the line in her size. Unfortunately, she’s just got her fur on. We gotta work with Tommy on getting her some good clothes.”

Wendy had long been part of the family

Kelce revealed that Wendy wasn't a recent adoption.

“Little ‘ol Wendy’s a little over a year old now,” he said. “We’ve had her for quite a while. Trying to keep it under wraps.”

The revelation explains months of speculation surrounding a white dog that had previously been spotted around Swift and Kelce .

Wendy ’s first major public appearance came in Kelce’s Tommy Hilfiger campaign, which was shot at New York’s Plaza Hotel.

Kelce said he spoke with Swift before agreeing to bring Wendy into the shoot. He decided to “talk it over with Tay,” but said she was “all for it.”

“It’s kind of crazy how perfect she looks in the Tommy Hilfiger world,” Kelce said. “She matches the brand and the shoot and it was pretty easy to get her to jump on the couch and have some fun with us.”

Then came the declaration that may have officially launched Wendy ’s modeling career: “Wendy’s a model. She’s a model dog.”

Wendy part of everyday life

The Chiefs tight end has also spoken warmly about how much the Samoyed means to him away from cameras.

“Are you kidding me?” Kelce told Vogue when asked about Wendy. “She lights up my day.”

He said the campaign team had already been looking for a dog, making Wendy a natural choice.

“We figured, why not her?” Kelce said. “She crushed it, and actually really fit into that Tommy aesthetic, too.”

Wendy joins Swift ’s three well-known cats, Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button, bringing the couple’s known collection of pets to four.

Her public introduction comes during a particularly eventful summer for the couple, who married July 3 at Madison Square Garden.

Kelce has spent much of the offseason preparing for another NFL campaign, but Wendy ’s unexpected emergence has provided a lighter glimpse into life away from football.

After more than a year of keeping her mostly private, the secret is now officially out. And according to Kelce , Wendy already looks perfectly comfortable in the spotlight.
