Brad Pitt lost girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding because of the bride and groom
The actor praised the couple’s strict privacy rule after attending the star-studded Madison Square Garden ceremony
Brad Pitt says Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ’s wedding delivered exactly what the couple wanted which was privacy, spontaneity and a room full of guests actually living in the moment.
It also briefly left him unable to find his own girlfriend. Pitt attended the July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden with Ines de Ramon and later recalled just how immersive the celebration became once hundreds of guests were inside without their phones.
“Let me tell you, that was such an amazing night,” Pitt said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I think we were there 10 hours, maybe 12. It was so thoughtful and well planned, and really moving, and great fun.
“And yeah, but it was big,” Pitt added. “Yeah. And yeah, at one point, I lost her in the melee on the dance floor.”
The separation was brief, with Pitt clarifying that he found de Ramon again soon afterward.
No-phone rule was deliberate
Kelce had already explained that he and Swift wanted guests to stay off their phones during the wedding. Speaking on New Heights, Kelce said the absence of cameras helped change the atmosphere.
“It was so cool to see how everybody interacted, and with no phones comes people not having to be on guard and feel whatever that feeling is for everyone,” Kelce said. “It makes everyone be in the moment and be present.
“That’s what we wanted it to be,” he added. “We wanted it to be a beautiful ceremony, but we also wanted to make sure that everybody left there having some fun. And it was a magical night, man.”
The policy appears to have worked. Despite the size of the guest list and the number of high-profile attendees, relatively little from inside the celebration has emerged publicly.
A star-filled wedding that felt private
The wedding blended Hollywood, music and the NFL. Austin Swift served as his sister’s man of honor, while Jason Kelce was Travis’ best man. Adam Sandler officiated.
Reported guests included Jennifer Lawrence, Ed Sheeran, Zoe Kravitz, Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Andy Reid and Matthew Stafford .
Pitt ’s account suggests that even with the highly controlled environment, the party itself was anything but stiff. He and de Ramon have been together since 2022 and have appeared more frequently in public together in recent years.
Pitt has previously pushed back on the idea that their public appearances are carefully staged. “No, life just evolves,” he told GQ in 2025. “Relationships evolve.”
At Swift and Kelce ’s wedding, that evolution apparently included a few frantic moments on a crowded dance floor. Pitt still came away with a glowing verdict.
