Brittany Mahomes may soon notice a change in husband Patrick's mood as the Chiefs' schedule takes a brutal turn
It's been smoothing sailing for the Mahomes family and the Kansas City Chiefs up until now.

Through five games, it's been kind of shocking how easy the Kansas City Chiefs have turned themselves around from a season ago. After going 6-11 in 2025 , and with Patrick Mahomes coming off of a major knee injury, there were real questions about whether the Chiefs dynasty had reached its end.
As we head into Week 7 of the 2026 season , the Chiefs sit atop the AFC with a 5-0 record. Mahomes has looked like his usual self, running back Kenneth Walker III looks like an MVP candidate, and Kansas City is playing complementary football on both sides of the ball. This has all led to a happy Patrick, which in turn has led to a happy Brittany Mahomes at home .
Everything is going right for the Mahomes family at the moment, after so much turmoil last season. But even though the vibes are sky-high right now, that could change very soon . The only caveat from the Chiefs' 5-0 start is that they have played some easy opponents; particularly the Indianapolis Colts , Miami Dolphins , and Los Angeles Chargers .
Kansas City Chiefs schedule is about to get much harder, with two road games against top defenses
The Chiefs' upcoming schedule is a mixed bag, but there are some heavy hitters on the horizon . Making matters worse is that the team's next two games are on the road, against two elite defenses that could make life hard on Mahomes . This is how the next 10 games will play out for Kansas City.
Week 7: at Seattle Seahawks (3-3)
Week 8: at Denver Broncos (4-2)
Week 9: vs. New York Jets (2-4)
Week 10: at Atlanta Falcons (2-4)
Week 11: vs. Arizona Cardinals (2-4)
Week 12: at Buffalo Bills (5-1)
Week 13: at Los Angeles Rams (2-4)
Week 14: at Cincinnati Bengals (3-2)
Week 15: vs. New England Patriots (4-2)
Week 16: vs. San Francisco 49ers (6-0)
Thankfully, the Chiefs get three relatively easy matchups after the next two weeks, but then they have to go on the road for three away games against high-level opponents . They then have to face two more strong teams before the final two weeks of the season.
The Chiefs haven't faced any type of adversity yet this season, but it's coming - possibly sooner than later.
