Brittany Mahomes' new tattoo connecting her to Patrick Mahomes forever: “People are so intrigued”
Fans had only seen glimpses of the design before
Brittany Mahomes has finally put an end to the curiosity surrounding the tattoo fans had been spotting on her arm.
After the design drew attention during the Kansas City Chiefs game on September 27, Mahomes shared a close-up on her Instagram Story two days later, revealing that the artwork is a tribute to the family she has built with quarterback Patrick Mahomes .
“I guess I never have shown my tattoo and people are so intrigued,” she wrote.
The tattoo features the names of the couple’s three children — Sterling, Bronze and Golden — along with their birthdays. Their side profiles are incorporated into the fine-line design, which runs delicately along her arm rather than using bold or heavily shaded imagery.
Patrick Mahomes also woven into the tattoo
The most personal detail is easy to miss at first glance. Brittany explained that Patrick ’s initials are integrated into the design alongside the children’s names and birthdays, turning the piece into a tribute to the entire family.
“It’s the side profiles of my kiddos with Patrick’s initials into their names and birthdays,” she wrote.
The tattoo’s style is deliberately understated. Thin black lines form the profiles, while the script follows the shape of her arm, giving the design a continuous look that ties each family member together.
Fans had previously only seen parts of the tattoo when Mahomes rolled up the sleeves of her white jacket while attending the Chiefs game. The later close-up offered the clearest look yet at how much meaning had been packed into a relatively simple design.
Mahomes also has another sentimental tattoo on her left wrist, where a paw print honors the family’s dogs, Steel and Silver.
Design reflects relationship that started in high school
Brittany and Patrick ’s story began long before the Super Bowls, endorsement deals and NFL spotlight. The pair started dating in high school in 2012, and Patrick later proposed in 2020 at Arrowhead Stadium.
Their first child, Sterling , was born in February 2021, before the couple married in Maui in March 2022. Their son, Bronze , followed in 2022, while daughter Golden arrived in January 2025, making the Mahomes family five.
That history gives the tattoo more meaning than a collection of names and dates. Each element traces a different part of the family’s story, from the children’s profiles to Patrick ’s initials, while the flowing design visually connects them all.
