Chiefs heiress Ava Hunt gives Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders some competition
Ava Hunt is back at SMU and celebrating her return to the cheerleading squad.

Kansas City Chiefs heiress Ava Hunt is back in uniform after returning to Southern Methodist University and rejoining the school's cheerleading squad for the 2026 season.
Hunt , the youngest daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt , appeared alongside her SMU teammates in a series of new photos as preparations continued for the upcoming college football campaign.
The pictures were shared by her friend and fellow cheerleader Cheyanna Frazier , showing Hunt smiling alongside other members of the Mustangs squad during media day.
“We are SO back,” Frazier wrote alongside the post.
Ava Hunt returns to SMU cheerleading
Hunt originally joined the SMU cheerleading team during her freshman year in 2024, but later stepped away from college for a year.
Instead of immediately continuing her studies and cheerleading commitments, she devoted time to faith-based humanitarian work through the Discipleship Training School in Kona, Hawaii.
Her return means Hunt will once again balance college life with her position on the SMU squad, putting her back on the sidelines as the new season begins.
The latest photos showed Hunt wearing her SMU cheerleading uniform alongside Frazier and several teammates at University Park, Texas.
Her return also comes after a busy summer away from campus. Hunt was spotted with her older sister Gracie at the 2026 World Cup last month before heading back to college.
Chiefs heiress remains closely connected to NFL
Although Hunt is building her own profile through college and cheerleading, her family remains one of the most recognizable in the NFL.
Her father Clark has overseen the Chiefs since the death of his father, Lamar Hunt , in 2006 and has been at the helm during one of the most successful periods in franchise history.
Kansas City has won three Super Bowls during Clark Hunt's tenure and reached the playoffs 12 times, turning the franchise into one of the NFL's dominant teams.
Ava, Gracie and their brother Knobel are also expected to inherit the family's considerable fortune in the future.
For now, however, Ava Hunt's attention has returned to SMU, where her comeback to the cheer squad has put her firmly back in the college spotlight.
