“He stood us up”: Jason Kelce calls out Marcus Spears live on ESPN for missing Travis and Taylor's wedding
Kelce couldn't resist teasing Spears after the ESPN star missed his brother's lavish wedding

Jason Kelce couldn't resist giving his ESPN colleague Marcus Spears some grief after the former Dallas Cowboys star missed one of the biggest weddings of the year.
During ESPN's Monday Night Countdown coverage ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs' season opener against the Denver Broncos, Kelce revealed that Spears had been invited to his brother Travis Kelce's wedding to Taylor Swift but didn't turn up.
Jason , who served as Travis ' best man, pointed directly at Spears while discussing the guest list and joked that the analyst had effectively abandoned the group.
“There wasn't another person on the desk invited, but he did no show us,” Kelce said, adding that he still wasn't entirely sure why Spears had been absent.
Spears quickly offered an explanation, saying he had a family obligation involving his son, though things were clearly lighthearted, as Kelce laughed before turning his attention back to the extraordinary celebration.
Swift and Travis married on July 3 at New York's Madison Square Garden, bringing together a remarkable mixture of celebrities, athletes, NFL figures and longtime friends. Jason was officially Travis ' best man, while Swift's brother Austin served as her man of honor.
A wedding that brought together Hollywood and football
Kelce described the occasion as a genuine mixture of worlds, recalling how guests came from professional football, entertainment, Nashville's music scene and the couple's personal circles.
The celebration reportedly featured an enormous guest list, with major names from music, film and the NFL joining the couple for their special day. Among those linked to the festivities were Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Paul Rudd, Ed Sheeran and Sabrina Carpenter.
Kelce also praised the ceremony itself, describing it as gorgeous and saying those involved had done an incredible job.
“It was insane, and the ceremony was gorgeous. They did such an incredible job,” added Jason .
After the formal proceedings, the wedding reportedly transformed into a huge party. Guests were treated to elaborate entertainment, food and drinks, creating an atmosphere that Jason remembered fondly when speaking about the event on ESPN.
The celebration was particularly significant for Jason , who had the responsibility of standing beside his younger brother as best man.
Travis and Taylo r have since moved into married life while balancing demanding professional schedules. Swift has continued her music career, while Travis returned to the NFL with the Chiefs.
Swift was also spotted supporting Travis during Kansas City's Week 1 matchup with Denver at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs went on to secure a 31-10 victory, giving Travis a winning start to the season in front of his wife.
