Matching jackets! Patrick and Brittany Mahomes completely transform into Backstreet Boys for her 31st birthday

Patrick Mahomes didn't need a long message to make his feelings clear as wife Brittany Mahomes celebrated her 31st birthday.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback kept his Instagram tribute simple “Happy Birthday! Love you Forever” while the couple’s weekend celebrations told the rest of the story.

Brittany shared a series of photos from the occasion, including a night at the Backstreet Boys’ “Into the Millennium” residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

She and Mahomes leaned into the theme by wearing matching blue-and-white varsity jackets featuring the band’s name, along with white caps and blue-tinted sunglasses. “31,” Brittany wrote alongside the carousel.

The concert photos quickly became one of the highlights of the celebration, but the birthday weekend also included quieter family moments and a look back at the life the couple has built together.

Family takes center stage

Several of the photos showed Brittany posing in front of a shimmering gold backdrop with a neon “Happy Birthday” sign and oversized metallic “31” balloons.

Mahomes joined her for one picture and kissed her on the cheek, while another image showed a three-tier birthday cake decorated with a printed family portrait.

His own birthday post also featured the couple with their three children Sterling, 5, Bronze, 3, and Golden, 19 months. The family-focused tribute fits a relationship that began long before Mahomes became one of the most recognizable players in the NFL.

The two first met in Texas and eventually started dating as teenagers. Mahomes recalled their early relationship in Netflix’s “Quarterback” documentary.

“She was a grade above me. I was the best friend in the friendzone forever,” he said.

He also remembered giving Brittany a rose while they were still friends.

“I was getting the rose as a joke, but like kind of as a joke,” Mahomes said.

Brittany had a different reaction: “He thought it was a joke and I thought it was the cutest thing in the world,” she said.

The timing of Brittany ’s birthday comes as Mahomes prepares for another demanding NFL season.

The Chiefs quarterback recently explained how limited communication can become during training camp, when players stay at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.

“St. Joe’s dorm rooms, man, you don’t get a lot of text messages,” Mahomes said. “I just try to make sure I text Brittany. If I text Brittany, I’m usually in a good spot.”

That consistency has followed the couple from high school to marriage in 2022 and now into life with three children.

Brittany ’s 31st birthday may have included a flashy Las Vegas backdrop and matching Backstreet Boys jackets, but Mahomes ’ message was much simpler. After all these years, the sentiment remains the same.
