Patrick Mahomes and Maxx Crosby trade shots ahead of matchup that will end one team’s undefeated start

After three weeks of action, five teams remain undefeated in the NFL . In the NFC , the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers have looked exceptional, while in the AFC , it comes as no surprise that the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs have opened with a pristine 3-0 record.

However, the true shockwave through the league has been generated by the Las Vegas Raiders , who have already matched their total victory count from the previous season.

Powered by a surging elite defense anchored by Maxx Crosby and an efficient offense orchestrated by veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins , who has tossed three touchdown passes in every single game, the Raiders have opted to delay the rookie debut of top overall draft pick Fernando Mendoza indefinitely.

Next up, Las Vegas faces its ultimate measuring stick by welcoming Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs for a historic showdown, marking the first time both division rivals have ever clashed with matching 3-0 records in the same season.

Crosby and Mahomes Exchange Mutual Respect Ahead of Undefeated Showdown

The narrative surrounding the Raiders' defensive resurgence is even more remarkable considering that during the offseason, Maxx Crosby was on the brink of being traded to the Baltimore Ravens before a failed physical voided the deal, sending him back to Las Vegas to spearhead their stellar front.

Now, a monumental challenge awaits against a Kansas City squad that has historically dominated the matchup, holding a 13-2 record against Las Vegas since Mahomes took over under center alongside seven division titles .

Maxx Crosby carries an intense competitive fire into his latest chapter against Mahomes, a signal-caller who deeply respects the edge rusher's relentless motor after years of bruising divisional warfare. "We're both looking forwrad to it, its war, there's no other word to put it"

Speaking with the media, Mahomes minimized the external noise , instead praising an undefeated Las Vegas group equipped with high-end talent across the front seven and enough offensive firepower to make Sunday's battle a grueling test.

"I think that's where the respect comes from, is that we kind of have that mutual want to be the best on the field when we're out there. When you get to go against those guys, it brings out the best in you." Mahomes said regarding Crosby.

Mahomes also noted, "They've brought in a lot of really good football players, and they've added some young, talented guys as well," emphasizing the multifaceted threat posed by Crosby and his teammates.

Under new head coach Klint Kubiak , becoming just the third coach in franchise history to start 3-0 , the Raiders embrace this home spotlight, though navigating high-stakes division supremacy remains uncharted territory compared to Kansas City's veteran poise.

Acknowledging that facing the multi-time MVP demands absolute perfection, Crosby's defensive unit aims to disrupt the rhythm of a Kansas City offense that is chasing yet another deep postseason trajectory.

With sole possession of the AFC West lead hanging in the balance, Sunday's clash guarantees that one powerhouse's perfect start will officially come to an end.
