A lot of things had to go right for Mahomes to be on the field for Week 1 this season. Plenty of pain, sweat, and tears went into his rehab process after a devastating knee injury last December. Along the way he's had the proper support: His wife Brittany along with his three children, Sterling , Bronze , and Golden Raye .
Going through such a tough period sometimes has the potential to fortify those familial bonds. It seems like that was very much the case, and Patrick continues to fulfill his fatherly duties even during the NFL season - no matter the cost, or weather.

Brittany shared a video this week on her Instagram stories of Patrick accompanying Bronze during a Little League baseball game . Even though it was pouring rain outside, Patrick chose to brave the storm and help out his son , even carrying him to the proper spot on the infield diamond.
Brittany's caption said it all: " Dad of the year right here! Playing with Bronze in the pouring down rain ." No one can deny Patrick will do whatever it takes to make his children happy.
