Patrick Mahomes' father agrees to strict condition in order to see son at Arrowhead
The former MLB pitcher can attend Kansas City home games, but requests to travel to Las Vegas and Cincinnati were denied

Patrick Mahomes Sr. has been given permission to attend Kansas City Chiefs home games again, restoring a familiar part of his football routine while leaving his legal restrictions firmly in place.
The 56-year-old had asked the court for approval to travel to games in Kansas City, Cincinnati and Las Vegas during the season.
According to TMZ, his probation officer requested that any approved travel include urine testing before and after each trip. The judge agreed only in part.
Mahomes Sr. was cleared to attend Chiefs home games in Kansas City, but his requests to travel to Cincinnati and Las Vegas were denied.
That means he can once again watch Patrick Mahomes play at Arrowhead, provided he continues to comply with the conditions of his probation.
Mahomes Sr. remains under close supervision
The arrangement comes after another legal complication earlier this year. Mahomes Sr. was accused in February of violating his probation by consuming alcohol, which was prohibited under the terms of his plea agreement.
Texas authorities initially sought to revoke his probation before withdrawing that motion in March. Instead, his probation was extended from five years to seven, while the court allowed him to be released from custody.
The original requirements have included 160 hours of community service, participation in an outpatient treatment program, regular urine testing and the use of a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring device.
TMZ reported that Mahomes Sr. has completed both his community service and outpatient treatment program and has had “no issues” with the testing he has undergone.
Those conditions now effectively determine whether he can continue attending Chiefs games.
Arrowhead return comes with clear limits
Mahomes Sr. had been a regular presence at Kansas City games before his 2024 arrest, often appearing alongside the Mahomes family during some of the quarterback’s biggest postseason moments.
A former major-league pitcher, he has long been one of the most recognizable members of the quarterback’s family around the team. That access is now much more controlled.
The latest ruling doesn't give Mahomes Sr. blanket permission to follow Kansas City around the country. The road trips he requested to Las Vegas and Cincinnati remain off limits, leaving home games as his only approved NFL travel under the current order.
The unusual testing requirement also makes clear that the court is treating the privilege as conditional rather than automatic. Mahomes Sr. can return to Arrowhead and watch his son lead the Chiefs , but continued access depends on him staying in compliance.
