Patrick Mahomes gives fans a scare just as they begin to believe this is his season
The Chiefs quarterback has looked strong so far, but one small detail caught fans' attention in Las Vegas
The offseason predictions were not clear-cut for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. However, once it was announced that the quarterback would be ready to return in Week 1, the outlook started to shift in their favor.
A strong start to the season has made things look even better, although it is still too early to be overly critical. Still, a video has now left some fans concerned about Mahomes and his physical condition.
Fans are keeping a close eye on Mahomes
Mahomes has been in a good moment following his surgery, with his performances showing positive results. His physical condition, however, has remained a major focus for fans who do not want to see another injury affect his career. His arrival in Las Vegas caught the attention of some of the more observant fans.
Mahomes arrived in Las Vegas looking sharp and focused on what he had to do in the days ahead . His outfit was on point as usual, but as he walked down the plane stairs with a suitcase and backpack in hand, some fans noticed he appeared to put more weight on his left leg.
A small detail raises some questions
As he stepped down, Mahomes seemed more cautious when using his right leg , making it look as if something could be bothering him. Some fans also noticed that he was relying more on his left knee . It is possible that he was simply being careful with the knee that previously underwent surgery, but t he movement still caught some people off guard.
There is no doubt that losing Mahomes would be a major blow, even this early in the season. The moment began raising alarms among the more concerned fans, especially since no discomfort has been reported by the coaching staff.
Now, with the Chiefs visiting Las Vegas, there should be a little more clarity as Mahomes and the team prepare for the most interesting NFL game of the week . Both the Chiefs and Raiders enter Week 4 at 3-0 after impressive starts, meaning one team's perfect record will end this week.
The Chiefs are listed as 4.5-point road favorites for Sunday's matchup, but sportsbooks have seen the public split over which team will cover.
