Scammer Siddharth Jawahar allegedly turned millions of dollars raised from investors such as Travis Kelce into the lifestyle of his dreams. The spending came from a scheme that raised more than $35 million from defrauded investors between 2016 and 2023, whilst prosecutors said Jawahar invested around $10 million.

As per TMZ, he used much of the remaining money to finance his personal lifestyle which includes purchases at Gucci , Louis Vuitton , Prada , Neiman Marcus , Bloomingdale’s and other high-end retailers. Prosecutors also said Jawahar spent heavily on luxury apartments in New York and Texas after scamming Kelce among others, although the amount the Kansas City Chiefs star allegedly lost has not been disclosed. The revelation of the scam came at a bad time for the 36-year-old football star, who had hoped to be celebrating his first win of the 2026 NFL star with the Chiefs after beating the Denver Broncos 31-10. Whilst Kenneth Walker III stole the headlines and Patrick Mahomes scored a rushing touchdown, Kelce set history on the night by moving into second for receptions by a tight end by gaining 54 yards after a catch to surpass Jason Witten . Kelce needed 45 yards to claim the record and finished the night with three catches for 71 yards to take his career haul up to 13,073 yards - but seems unlikely to catch Tony Gonzalez as the record holder, who has 15,127 yards.

How did Siddharth Jawahar conduct his scam on Kelce?

Jawahar operated Swiftarc Capital LLC , where prosecutors said he concentrated roughly 99% of client capital in a single stock, Philip Morris Pakistan , but when that investment suffered losses, he allegedly concealed the damage from clients. Authorities said the convict issued falsified statements and used money from newer investors to make payments to earlier clients, and he also controlled 17 additional entities that prosecutors said were used as part of the scheme. The allegations extended beyond the investment losses. Prosecutors accused Jawahar of attempting to obstruct the investigation after his 2023 indictment by coaching a victim to provide a favorable statement to the FBI . The Department of Justice (DOJ) also said Jawahar asked his sister to remotely wipe his iPhone in an effort to conceal evidence as he eventually pleaded guilty to three counts of wire fraud in January 2026. He was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison and ordered to pay $31.35 million in restitution to his victims. At sentencing, Judge Zachary Bluestone said Jawahar had “weaponized” investors’ trust and caused “massive” losses. Court documents and the DOJ indicate he could also face immigration consequences following his conviction. Prosecutors had previously that he presented a flight risk because of his financial resources. His alleged spending included $164,000 toward a luxury New York apartment and another $363,000 toward an apartment in Texas as the lavish purchases now form part of the picture prosecutors presented of a fraud that stretched across several years.
