Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have their first neighborhood issue at their new mansion

What happened?

After a wedding that is still keeping many details private, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift seem to be enjoying a much quieter chapter with a new acquisition: a massive property.

The house cost $5.35 million and has everything needed to become a private retreat , although there is one small detail that kept their arrival in the neighborhood from going completely unnoticed.

A mansion overlooking Lake Erie

The property is in Bratenahl, Ohio, a small lakeside village just outside Cleveland and only a few miles from Cleveland Heights, where Kelce grew up alongside his brother Jason .

The estate spans 3.5 acres along Lake Erie, with an approximately 21,000-square-foot home spread across three levels. It also features a heated pool, spa, gym, wine cellar, private movie theater and an entertainment area.

In other words, privacy and space don't exactly seem to be an issue. But for a couple at this level, privacy has to be complete.

The fence that didn't sit well with neighbors

The property's security plan included a perimeter fence. The measure, however, raised concerns among nearby residents , particularly because of how it could affect the landscape views from some neighboring properties.

The situation was discussed with residents in the area, and the project ultimately changed: the section of the fence that extended toward the shoreline was scrapped .

And while the property belongs to the Kelces and the installation required the appropriate permits, there was one detail that went beyond the boundaries of their land: the views and landscape are also part of what makes the area appealing and, generally speaking, aren't owned by any one person .

Kelce's life continues between two worlds

And while all of this is happening away from the spotlight, the Kansas City Chiefs officially began their 2026 season yesterday, with Kelce back for his 14th season.

The start couldn't have been more notable: Kansas City defeated the Denver Broncos 31-10, and Kelce finished the game with 71 receiving yards , enough to surpass Jason Witten and become the second tight end with the most receiving yards in NFL history, behind only Tony Gonzalez.
