Taylor Swift went from a worldwide superstar to Aunt Tay Tay inside the Kelce family
I t may not have taken long for Taylor Swift to be considered part of the Kelce family. She has clearly earned her place as Aunt Tay Tay, and Jason and Kylie Kelce’s daughters adore her. But there was a time when, just like the rest of the world, the girls knew her simply as Taylor Swift.
The girls may not have understood the magnitude of that name or just how famous the singer is around the world , but they knew one thing: she was Taylor Swift. That was the name they recognized, so naturally, that was what they called her when they first met her.
From Taylor Swift to just Taylor
In a way, Taylor Swift will always be Taylor Swift to the rest of the world . Her name has become so iconic in entertainment that simply saying Taylor can often be enough for people to know exactly who you mean. But inside a family, calling someone by their full name when that name also happens to be their stage name can become a habit worth breaking.
For Travis, Taylor was going to be part of his family, and that meant she also had to feel like part of the Kelces . Jason and Travis eventually had to help the girls move away from calling her by her full name. Travis explained that when the girls first met their future aunt, they would naturally say “Taylor Swift” whenever they wanted to talk to her.
The Kelce daughters made it even more adorable
Jason remembered the moments by imitating his daughters asking Taylor for permission to do something, still addressing her as “Taylor Swift.” He and Travis laughed about the habit, with Travis calling it adorable.
Jason then reassured the girls that they could simply call her Taylor , helping them make that shift from seeing her as the superstar they knew from the outside to someone who was becoming part of their family.
After everything Travis and Taylor have experienced together, the girls no longer need to call her Taylor Swift. She is not just Taylor, Tay or even Tay Tay to them. She is Aunt Tay Tay, the name that now reflects her place in the family.
