Travis Kelce surprises fans in his new campaign with a very special guest for him and Taylor Swift: Who is Wendy?
The Kansas City Chiefs star's latest fashion campaign has finally put a name to the fluffy Samoyed who has quietly become part of the newlyweds' family

T ravis Kelce has found an unexpected co-star for his latest fashion campaign, and this one happens to be a very important member of his family with Taylor Swift .
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end features alongside a fluffy white Samoyed in Tommy Hilfiger's Fall 2026 campaign, but the appearance did more than give fans another glimpse of Kelce's fashion credentials.
It also helped reveal the name of the dog that has been at the center of speculation surrounding the newlyweds for months: Wendy.
Forbes initially identified the Samoyed as Wendy in its report about Kelce's first Tommy Hilfiger advertisement, although the publication subsequently removed the dog's name while leaving the rest of the story online.
Other outlets have since reported the same name, with the puppy now making her public debut alongside Kelce .
The campaign was photographed at New York City's Plaza Hotel, with Kelce dressed in a navy peacoat and white turtleneck in one of the standout images. Wendy sits comfortably on his leg as the NFL star looks toward the camera.
In the accompanying video, the 36-year-old athlete and his canine companion share a quieter moment on a couch while Kelce wears a gray Tommy Hilfiger hoodie. The campaign also features a star-studded cast including Gigi Hadid, Frances Tiafoe, Carmelo Anthony, Jisoo and Peggy Gou .
But for Swifties, the biggest story is undoubtedly Wendy.
Why did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce call their dog Wendy?
The couple have not publicly explained the reasoning behind the name, leaving fans to connect the dots themselves.
One particularly obvious possibility comes from Kelce's own pop-culture preferences. During an episode of his New Heights podcast, he previously identified Wendy Peffercorn, the character played by Marley Shelton in The Sandlot, as his favorite character from the 1993 movie.
That connection has made the theory that Wendy was named after the character particularly appealing to fans. There is also a potential Taylor Swift connection.
Swift has repeatedly incorporated Peter Pan imagery into her songwriting. In “Cardigan,” she sings, “Tried to change the ending / Peter losing Wendy / I knew you.”
She later included a song titled “Peter” on The Tortured Poets Department. That makes Wendy a name with possible significance for both halves of the couple, although neither has confirmed the inspiration.
The Samoyed has actually been part of Swift and Kelce's lives for considerably longer than the public realized. Fans first began piecing together clues about the dog after images connected to the couple's July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden appeared to show them holding a white puppy.
There were also sightings of the dog traveling with Swift before her marriage to Kelce . By July, Wendy had been seen accompanying the Chiefs star to Palm Beach, Florida, after traveling on Swift's private jet.
Reports subsequently indicated that the couple had owned the dog for many months, with one report suggesting she had been with them for close to a year.
That means Wendy's appearance in the Hilfiger campaign is less an introduction to the couple's pet and more a formal arrival into the public spotlight.
For Kelce , the campaign represents another step in his expanding presence outside football. He has increasingly embraced fashion and was approached by Tommy Hilfiger's team in 2025. The partnership was developed into a campaign built around New York's distinctive culture and energy.
For Swift , meanwhile, Wendy's arrival adds another intriguing detail to her life as a newlywed.
The couple married at Madison Square Garden on July 3 in a lavish ceremony attended by around 1,000 guests, with the newlyweds reportedly exchanging lengthy vows and wearing Dior haute couture.
Now, barely two months into married life, Swift and Kelce have another family member attracting attention.
And judging by Wendy's effortless performance in front of the cameras, she may already be better prepared for celebrity life than most.
