Tyreek Hill raises further doubts among the Chiefs about his recovery after traveling to Germany to see a renowned doctor
Could Kansas City move on and sign another wide receiver in the 2026 NFL season?

T yreek Hill 's latest attempt to accelerate his recovery has taken him to Germany , where the former Kansas City Chiefs receiver is receiving treatment for his injured knee as doubts about his ability to take to the field in the 2026 NFL season continue to grow. The 32-year-old’s continued rehabilitation without a team is creating uncertainty to the extent of his ability to play football and the eight-time Pro Bowler shared footage from Munich on Snapchat , adding the location tag and the word, "Treatment."
Another video showed renowned physician Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt working on Hill 's knee, although the visit does not establish whether he might be ready to play in the coming weeks despite the claims of his agent. Hill has been a free agent since Miami released him before the start of the offseason as he suffered a serious left knee injury against the New York whilst playing for the Dolphins , dislocating the joint and tearing multiple ligaments, including his ACL. Following two operations, he said he still needed to rebuild strength in his leg and Drew Rosenhaus has spoken with several teams about signing his client, but acknowledged there was "nothing immediate" available. Muller-Wohlfahrt is a familiar name in elite sport as he served as Bayern Munich 's team doctor for more than 40 years in soccer and worked with the German national team between 1995 and 2018.
Have the Chiefs moved on with their wide receiver search?
Hill 's previous production explains why teams might still consider taking a chance. He recorded more than 1000 receiving yards in six seasons with the Chiefs and Dolphins , won Super Bowl LIV . He has accumulated 11,363 receiving yards and 83 touchdowns. However, his recovery is not the only uncertainty surrounding his future. In October 2026, a civil jury found Hill liable for two counts of battery in a case brought by his estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro , awarding her $500,000 in compensatory damages. Vaccaro accused him of physical and emotional abuse during their relationship and marriage. He disputed most allegations, and the jury rejected eight of her claims while finding him responsible for two incidents. He acknowledged pushing her against a wall during one confrontation and admitted making threatening remarks and the NFL confirmed it was monitoring developments after the verdict, opening the door to a potential suspension. Kansas City has other priorities as the November 10 trade deadline approaches and ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said the Chiefs have "multiple lines in the water" as they explore ways to strengthen their receiving corps. Fowler mentioned Brian Thomas Jr. and Josh Downs as potential trade names, although he did not specifically connect either player to Kansas City whilst Rashod Bateman , Jerry Jeudy , Jauan Jennings and Chris Godwin are also options. Kansas City needs a receiver capable of stretching defenses vertically after Tyquan Thornton 's injury against the Las Vegas Raiders , sidelining the speedster until the NFL Playoffs at the earliest.
