Will Taylor Swift be at the Chiefs vs Dolphins? This is what we know about it
Kansas City takes on Miami on Sunday, September 27.

The Kansas City Chiefs ' trip to the Miami Dolphins comes with plenty of football storylines, but the biggest question away from the field may concern whether Taylor Swift will make an appearance at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, September 27. Swift has been present for both of Kansas City 's games this season, supporting Travis Kelce from the stands as the Chiefs opened the campaign with two victories, and her potential appearance in Miami has now become a talking point because the game falls on the same weekend as the MTV Video Music Awards .
Swift was also seen celebrating Kelce 's latest touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts , flashing her wedding ring after the tight end found the end zone as the tight end made nine catches for 101 yards. Patrick Mahomes has 566 passing yards and five touchdowns over the season. But the timing of Sunday's game and the MTV VMAs ceremony creates a significant logistical problem if she intends to attend both events as Kansas City and Miami are scheduled to kick off at 13:00 ET/10:00 PT, with the game expected to finish around 16:00 ET/13:00 PT. That leaves roughly three and a half hours between the expected conclusion of the Chiefs game and the start of the ceremony. According to American Airlines , a flight from Miami to Los Angeles takes around five hours and 45 minutes, making attendance at both events not realistic. Swift will have to attend the Chiefs game and skip the ceremony, or travel directly to Los Angeles without making an appearance at Hard Rock Stadium , and the former is more unlikely on this particular occasion.
Swift to be honored by VMAS
Swift ’s presence at Kansas City 's first two games also means a third consecutive appearance cannot be ruled out but there is an additional reason as to why her name has generated so much interest over the last week. The 36-year-old billionaire announced and released a new single named Patient Zero spontaneously, alongside the deluxe edition of The Life of a Showgirl: Encore Edition , which officially dropped on Friday, September 25. At the same time, Swift is due to receive a new honor recognizing her achievements as a director, adding another major milestone to her already extensive MTV Video Music Awards history so her potential absence from the game would therefore have a clear explanation beyond simply supporting Kelce from home. The VMAs are set to celebrate her career and honor her in a landmark way, while she could also have a role connected to the promotion of her upcoming Patient Zero project with some question marks as to whether she will perform the song live. The star-studded event will be hosted by Snoop Dogg and will also see Madonna is returning to the VMAs after a 23-year absence. It isn’t one to miss for music fans, and it might not be one Swift wants to miss either.
