Even though the 2025 season went as poorly as possible, the Las Vegas Raiders are actually in a great spot heading into the future. A strong offseason guided by general manager John Spytek , which included securing Fernando Mendoza as their new franchise quarterback, has fans feeling hopeful again.

First-time head coach Klint Kubiak is expected to bring a much fresher perspective to the team than previous coaches, and should help develop and get the best out of Mendoza. All of this is music to Tom Brady 's ears. When Brady purchased a minority stake in the Raiders franchise in 2024, the team was not in a good spot. The 2025 season only set off more alarms. But now, things are changing .

Raiders want to make a $158 million "front door" improvement to Allegiant Stadium

Brady and his ownership partners have their eyes fully set on turning the Raiders into a model NFL franchise. With that in mind, the organization higher-ups are in the process of facilitating a massive $158 million improvement for Allegiant Stadium .

This improvement will essentially turn the stadium's entrance into a large plaza and event space. It all sounds great in theory, but there's one catch: The Raiders want to use $75 million from an existing taxpayer fund for the improvements .

Allegiant Stadium just recently hosted Super Bowl 58 and is scheduled to host Super Bowl 63 . The organization wants to go all-out for that one, with the dream of seeing Mendoza leading the Raiders to The Big Game for that edition.

Of course, the news of these improvements didn't sit well with many fans, given that the stadium just opened in 2020 .
