Madison Beer steals the spotlight with her joyful reaction to Justin Herbert’s touchdown

Madison Beer gave Los Angeles Chargers fans something to smile about during an otherwise frustrating season opener, as cameras caught the singer enthusiastically celebrating fiancé Justin Herbert’s touchdown pass against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Beer was watching from a suite at SoFi Stadium as the Chargers opened their 2026 NFL campaign against Arizona.
When Herbert connected with wide receiver Ladd McConkey for an eight-yard touchdown in the third quarter, the pop star immediately jumped to her feet, raised her arms and danced with a huge smile.
The CBS broadcast captured the spontaneous celebration, and the moment quickly spread across social media. A clip shared online drew plenty of attention, with fans reacting to Beer’s energetic display as she cheered for Herbert .
Beer was dressed in Chargers colors and wore a customized No. 10 jersey representing Herbert’s number. Her appearance showed how closely she has followed the quarterback’s football career since their relationship became public.
The celebration came at a crucial point in the game. Herbert’s touchdown pass to McConkey cut Arizona’s advantage to just two points and briefly appeared to give Los Angeles the momentum it needed to complete a comeback.
Madison Beer’s celebration goes viral despite Chargers loss
Unfortunately for Beer and the Chargers, the excitement didn’t last. Arizona responded strongly in the fourth quarter and eventually secured a 26-14 victory, handing Los Angeles a surprising home defeat to begin the season.
Herbert finished the afternoon with 209 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. His fourth-quarter pick proved particularly costly, helping the Cardinals close out an upset that few expected before kickoff.
McConkey was one of Herbert’s key targets, finishing with five receptions for 82 yards and the touchdown. The Chargers also got a rushing touchdown from rookie Omarion Hampton , but their offense couldn't produce another touchdown after Herbert’s scoring connection with McConkey .
On the other side, Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw for 277 yards and a touchdown, helping Arizona pull off one of the more unexpected results of the opening weekend.
While the Chargers' performance left fans disappointed, Beer’s celebration quickly became a separate talking point online. Social media users shared the clip of her jumping and dancing, with many joking about how happy she looked despite the eventual result.
Herbert and Beer made their relationship public in 2025, and the couple announced their engagement in July 2026. Beer has continued to support the quarterback, including by attending Chargers games and cheering him on from the stands.
Beer’s unfiltered excitement after Herbert found McConkey for the touchdown provided one of the afternoon’s most lighthearted scenes.
The Chargers will now look to regroup ahead of Week 2 after their unexpected loss. Herbert will be hoping for a stronger performance, while Beer’s enthusiastic presence could once again attract attention whenever the cameras turn toward the stands.
