Tyreek Hill is sprinting again, a meaningful sign of progress after the knee injury that ended his 2025 season. But in his latest training video, the eight-time Pro Bowl receiver appears to have a slight hitch in his stride. The clip shows him building speed, though his movement still looks uneven at moments, a detail likely to draw attention as NFL teams weigh a possible comeback.

Hill suffered a dislocated left knee and tore several ligaments, including his ACL, during a game against the New York Jets on Sept. 29, 2025. He underwent two surgeries, missed the rest of the season and was released by the Miami Dolphins in February. In a rehab video posted in July, Hill said he was still trying to regain power in his injured leg, even as he worked through running drills.

Tyreek Hill is running again, but his return remains uncertain

The latest sprint is encouraging because it shows Hill has progressed beyond basic rehabilitation and is testing himself at higher speeds . Still, a workout clip cannot show whether he has regained the acceleration, balance and change-of-direction ability required to play at the NFL level. Hill has not announced a return date, and the video alone does not establish that he is ready for game action.

His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Wednesday that Hill’s comeback discussions remain active, but that nothing is imminent. Rosenhaus told ESPN that Hill is continuing his rehab with the goal of joining a team in the near future. Earlier, he said a deal could happen at any time and described Hill as close to full health, while stressing that a team would need to evaluate him in practice.

The Kansas City Chiefs are among the teams linked to Hill. They have reportedly contacted Rosenhaus about a reunion, and injuries at receiver have increased speculation about the possibility. But there is no reported agreement, and any signing would depend on Hill’s medical evaluation and his ability to contribute.

Hill’s comeback also faces a new off-field complication. On Wednesday, a Miami jury found him liable for two counts of battery in a civil case brought by his estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro, and awarded her $500,000 in compensatory damages. The jury found him not liable on eight other claims and rejected punitive damages. The verdict’s effect on his NFL prospects remains unclear, but it adds another factor teams and the league may consider.

For now, the video offers a hopeful but incomplete update: Hill is sprinting again and appears to be making progress, yet the hitch in his stride leaves a visible question about how close he is to full speed.
