Since the turn of the 21st century, there wasn't a better pairing in all of football than Tom Brady and Bill Belichick on the New England Patriots . It was a fairytale story from the get-go.

Brady was a sixth round pick, biding his time until his golden moment came. Once it did, Brady and the Patriots couldn't stop winning . After six Super Bowls together , Brady eventually moved on, but he remained close to the organization. Then came last season's Super Bowl .

The Patriots were aiming to win the seventh in their history, and their first without Brady. Despite their cherished time together, Brady gave a surprising statement when talking about Super Bowl LX between the Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks : " I don't have a dog in the fight ".

This week, Brady's comments resurfaced among the Pats organization, thanks to interviews on WEEI with Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and linebacker Robert Spillane .

McDaniels was asked if he thinks Brady helped the Seahawks against the Patriots in the Super Bowl. McDaniels gave a tongue-in-cheek reply: " I have no idea. I wouldn't have a dog in that fight ".

Spillane was much more fired up when talking about Brady's comment: " It irritated me, and it made me feel sad for him, spending 20 years here, obviously, went on to do amazing, great things, not only on the football field but in the community, and to say that he had no care in the world, it irritated me ".
