Cam Skattebo says no one on Giants is safe from being cut but continues to focus on off-field stuff
The New York Giants running back got benched last week, then saw fellow RB Najee Harris get cut by the team.

It has been a rollercoaster for John Harbaugh in his first season as head coach of the New York Giants . The team is now on its third starting quarterback of the year, sit at 3-2-1 atop the NFC East , and no one is quite sure if they're good or not.
Harbaugh knew he was getting into an interesting situation early on, as soon as he had to deal with his promising young running back Cam Skattebo trying to pull off backflips in the midst of his recovery from a major ankle injury last season. Harbaugh has also had to deal with an ineffective Skattebo this season .
Heading into Week 6, Skattebo was averaging 3.6 yards per carry and committed a brutal lost fumble in the team's tie against the Washington Commanders . Harbaugh didn't like what he was seeing, and he ended up virtually benching Skattebo against the New Orleans Saints last week. Skattebo played very sparingly and didn't see a touch.
Najee Harris' release should see Cam Skattebo get back in John Harbaugh's good graces
Najee Harris was expected to replace Skattebo in the starting lineup, but he barely played and did nothing with his touches. After the game, Harris was cut by the front office. The coaching staff wouldn't have allowed that to happen if they didn't feel comfortable with giving Skattebo playing time going forward. But Harris' release has struck a chord with Skattebo , who spoke about it in practice this week.
Nobody's safe, it's as simple as that. When we go on the field and we perform, if we're not performing, we understand there's a possibility of not being here. If I don't perform, I know there's a possibility of me not being here. We came in this week, we continue to work. We know where we're at, we know what we have. And if we put that to display, we're gonna be just fine.
This comes after Skattebo launched yet another off-field brand partnership, this time with the live shopping company Whatnot for a national brand campaign called " Take a Shopping Trip ". Skattebo is certainly making use of his name, image, and likeness, as he has partnered with tons of brands already.
He's also an avid streamer on Twitch , which created plenty of viral moments during the offseason. The Giants would like to see that business acumen translate to more success on the gridiron, sooner than later.
