Without a doubt, Jaxson Dart has had to adjust to a very different situation since suffering the injury on September 21 against the Los Angeles Rams . The New York Giants quarterback injured his left knee during the opening offensive series at SoFi Stadium , and although initial reports indicated that he would be fine, it was later confirmed that he would need surgery and would not return for the rest of the regular season. Now, two weeks later, Marissa Ayers showed how Dart is experiencing this moment away from the field .

Giants vs. Arizona Cardinals

As the Giants hosted the Arizona Cardinals at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, October 4 , Ayers shared an Instagram Story showing Dart in front of the television, reacting and yelling throughout the game.

The quarterback also reposted Marissa’s Story on his own Instagram account, sharing the moment with his followers.

And he had plenty of reasons to react: the matchup between New York and Arizona featured several lead changes before being decided in the final seconds.

Arizona took control early in the first quarter and built a 14-3 lead . Marvin Harrison Jr. opened the scoring with a touchdown reception from Jacoby Brissett, while Tyler Allgeier extended the advantage with a 22-yard rushing touchdown.

New York answered in the second quarter. Jameis Winston connected with Malachi Fields and Malik Nabers for two touchdowns that put the Giants ahead 19-14. Before halftime , Chad Ryland made a 60-yard field goal to cut into New York’s lead again.

Arizona regained the advantage after halftime with Elijah Higgins’ two-yard touchdown reception. New York responded again, this time with a Winston touchdown pass to Theo Johnson, followed by a two-point conversion from Najee Harris that made it 27-24 .

In the fourth quarter, rookie Dominic Zvada made a 52-yard field goal to extend New York’s lead. But the game still had one final play in store for the Giants.

Deonte Banks Sealed the Game

With the Cardinals looking for a comeback in the final seconds, Deonte Banks came through at the crucial moment.

The cornerback intercepted a pass from Brissett on the goal line and returned it 98 yards for a touchdown, turning the play into a pick-six that secured New York’s 36-24 victory .
