Giants fans were left holding their breath after Jaxson Dart’s left knee bent awkwardly during a brutal hit against the Los Angeles Rams.
On New York’s opening possession, Dart was hit high by Byron Young and low by Josaiah Stewart as he released a third-down pass. His knee appeared to buckle between the two defenders, and the quarterback immediately grabbed it in pain.
Dart managed to walk off the field and later reached the locker room under his own power, but he did not return to the Giants’ 28-6 loss. X-rays were negative, while initial reports pointed to a possible MCL sprain. An MRI will determine the full extent of the injury, although the Giants remain optimistic that it is not season-ending.
