Baby-faced Jason Kelce: Travis's brother breaks the internet with striking throwback photos from his days in Cincinnati

Jason Kelce has reminded fans that even the most recognizable celebrities can look completely different with one small change.

The retired Philadelphia Eagles center recently revisited photos from his University of Cincinnati football days, and his clean-shaven appearance left fans doing a double take.

The throwback images were shown during a recent episode of New Heights, the podcast Jason hosts with his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Looking back at his younger self, Jason admitted that he doesn't particularly like the way his face looks without the beard that's become one of his most recognizable features.

“I just hate the way my face looks without a beard,” said Jason .

One photo showed Jason speaking to teammates during a Cincinnati practice, prompting him to question whether that was really what he looked like while shouting in a football huddle. The brothers then turned their attention to another surprising detail from Jason's college years: his eyebrows.

“That was back when I used to just take my razor, and that’s how I trim my eyebrows,” he said.

“I would just go straight across my eyebrows. So they ended up being super thin and not having any shape.”

Travis was clearly entertained by the revelation and agreed that his brother's eyebrows looked dramatically different from the ones he has today.

The discussion then shifted toward Travis ' own college grooming experiment. The Chiefs tight end recalled trying to shave his chest, only to discover that the hair seemed to grow back almost immediately. He eventually tried waxing instead, but that attempt went even worse.

Travis said the experience left his chest bloody and patchy, with scabs forming afterward. To the surprise of no-one, he decided to abandon the idea altogether.

Jason's beard has become part of the family

Jason's beard has become such an important part of his identity that even his family isn't accustomed to seeing him without it.

His wife, Kylie Kelce , previously joked on her podcast that she's never actually seen Jason's chin in person. She playfully speculated that there might be a cleft chin hiding underneath the beard, but said she'd never had the opportunity to find out.

Kylie also suggested that their four daughters could have a strong reaction if Jason suddenly shaved. According to her, the children have become so accustomed to seeing their father with facial hair that at least one of them might even cry if he appeared without it.

The college photographs show how much Jason's appearance has changed since his Cincinnati days. His younger, clean-shaven face looks almost unrecognizable compared with the heavily bearded personality fans came to know during his NFL career.

The brothers have also recently addressed another viral football moment involving Travis . Footage from Chiefs training camp showed him running a deliberately slow route, leading to widespread criticism and millions of views online.

Jason argued that practice should remain a place where players can experiment without worrying that every imperfect moment will be preserved on social media.

“I can’t stand when they put these clips online,” Jason said. “Can we just let practice be its own thing? We don’t need to show everything.”

Travis , meanwhile, explained that his slow pace was intentional and designed to tempt the defender into anticipating his move.
