Jason Kelce ranks Eagles tailgate wedding just behind Travis and Taylor Swift’s big day
Jason helped create the memory of a lifetime for Lindsey Carl and Brandon Byrd

J ason Kelce has witnessed two very different wedding celebrations this year, from his brother Travis ’ star-studded ceremony with Taylor Swift to a Philadelphia Eagles -themed marriage held outside Lincoln Financial Field . The former center had a clear favorite, although he later revised his ranking after Lindsey Carl and Brandon Byrd won a competition organized by Garage Beer , the brand associated with the NFL brothers.
Earning the chance to exchange vows in the Eagles ’ parking lot before the game against the Dallas Cowboys , Jason attended the ceremony and later reflected on the occasion during ESPN 's Monday Night Countdown . And he described it as an unforgettable gathering, joking that it was probably the most legendary wedding he had attended all year as host Scott Van Pelt , who attended Travis and Swift ’s wedding over the summer, challenged the claim. But the one-time Super Bowl winner laughed before conceding that he might have been too generous with his initial assessment, ultimately placing the tailgate celebration second. The newlyweds embraced Philadelphia ’s football culture throughout the event whilst Carl wore a traditional white wedding dress with Eagles cowboy boots, while Byrd chose a green suit, team-themed socks and a feather attached to his lapel. Their aisle was also green, matching the occasion’s colors as Carl walked alongside her father before the couple exchanged rings as the Philly Pops performed and former Philadelphia Phillies star Shane Victorino officiated the ceremony. After being pronounced husband and wife, the couple released white doves from a heart-shaped basket and Jason helped distribute cans of beer and congratulate the newlyweds, bringing the Garage Beer connection directly into the festivities.
Cowboys hand Eagles fifth straight loss on Monday Night Football
Whilst Carl and Byrd had a good time away from the field, on it there was little joy to discover as the Cowboys kept their NFC East hopes alive with a 38-21 victory over the Eagles . Dak Prescott threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns, including two to CeeDee Lamb , whilst Javonte Williams rushed for a career-high 155 yards and another score. Philadelphia led 21-20 in the third quarter after backup quarterback Tanner McKee found Makai Lemon for a four-yard touchdown, capping a drive that consumed almost 10 minutes. Dallas responded when Prescott connected with Lamb on a 16-yard touchdown before running in the two-point conversion to restore the Cowboys ' advantage. Brandon Aubrey added three field goals, and Williams scored from two yards out to complete the victory. Dallas finished with 204 rushing yards, while the Eagles surrendered 416 total yards and 25 first downs. McKee completed 23 of 35 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown and one interception as he steps in for the injured Jalen Hurts , who is managing a serious blood clot issue and is out for the year. The Eagles fell to 2-5, their longest losing streak since 2016 and effectively see their hopes of reaching the NFL Playoffs end – a shocking slump for a side that won the Super Bowl in February 2025.
