Philadelphia Eagles set franchise record in the worst possible way in loss to LA Rams

Quarterback Jalen Hurts couldn't get anything going with a depleted offensive supporting cast.

It’s almost unfathomable that Jalen Hurts could finish an NFL game with only 93 passing yards . Hurts has won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles and turned into one of the best, and sometimes most underrated, quarterbacks in the league.

But Hurts couldn’t get anything going against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. To be fair to Hurts, he was missing his three best offensive players. DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert couldn't play in this game due to injuries, and Saquon Barkley had to leave the game midway through it.

The multitude of injuries, along with Hurts and the rest of his weapons not meshing well with new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion just yet, resulted in a historically poor performance on Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles didn't convert a single third down against the Rams

As mentioned during the broadcast of the game, and confirmed by stat-tracker QBgami , the Eagles had the worst third-down performance in the entire history of the franchise: they went 0-for-12 on third down attempts .

Philadelphia's defense was able to keep the team in it, despite having to take the field way too often, in a game full of tons of possessions. Ultimately, the defense began cracking late in the game, and the Eagles offense put up zero points in the second half.
