Was the NFL wrong to Keep Jalen Hurts put? He was furious and the backlash is growing

Jalen Hurts’ concussion scare sparks outrage as Nick Sirianni erupts and Skip Bayless blasts the NFL

The Eagles found themselves in a difficult spot against the Bears in Week 3 after Jalen Hurts took a hit from D'Marco Jackson and was sent for a concussion evaluation. Backup Andy Dalton came in and threw a costly interception with Chicago already in front.

Hurts' situation drew a strong reaction from Skip Bayless , who didn't hold back.

I'm great with protecting players, forcing concussion checks, but come on, NFL, BE READY. Took way too long to completely clear Jalen Hurts and he was rightfully furious about it.

Chicago made Philadelphia pay. Veteran Case Keenum , the Bears' third-string quarterback, took advantage of a coverage breakdown and threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to former Lions receiver Khalif Raymond , a play that swung the game.

The Bears controlled the yardage for most of the night, while Keenum surprised the home crowd with a brilliant performance that felt like a throwback.

The hit on Hurts also sent Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni into a rage, and he fired off a three-word insult at Jackson right after the play.

Philadelphia kept fighting but was overpowered by Ben Johnson's Bears , who scored 17 second-half points to build a 27-7 lead with just over seven minutes to play.

The Eagles have dominated the NFC East for years, but the Bears are starting to look like one of the conference's new powers. Johnson's team sent a message to the rest of the NFL, and Bayless made his own point loud and clear, though for entirely different reasons.
