That's at least what the cameras caught after the brutal late hit on the Eagles quarterback , a shot that forced him off the field and into the blue tent.

What happened to Jalen Hurts?

The NFL stepped in to check on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts after a hard hit on Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears .

Midway through the second quarter, Hurts stayed down on the turf following a late hit from Chicago's D'Marco Jackson . According to the MNF broadcast, the NFL's New York offices called for him to be evaluated for a possible concussion, and he was sent to the medical tent.

The timing could not have been worse for Philadelphia . The Eagles, trailing 7-0, had just driven 95 yards to set up first-and-goal at the Chicago 1-yard line. With Hurts out, backup Andy Dalton took over and threw an interception in the end zone on third-and-goal from the 2, wiping out the entire drive.

Hurts soon emerged from the blue tent and was shown on the sideline yelling at the medical staff.

"Jalen Hurts is out of the tent and on the sideline," The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane wrote on his official X account. "Looks like he's fine. But the damage was done. Andy Dalton tosses killer interception in the end zone."
