Aaron Rodgers has another historic record within reach. Which legend could he surpass?
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback has climbed to third on the all-time passing touchdown list and is now 26 scores away from another milestone.

At 42, Aaron Rodgers continues to find reasons to extend a career that has already made him one of the NFL’s most accomplished quarterbacks . Although his retirement from football may be getting closer, the Pittsburgh Steelers star still has records to chase. His latest milestone came with 582 passing touchdowns in the regular season and playoffs combined , a total that moved him into sole possession of third place on the all-time list and put another major target within reach.
Aaron Rodgers moves past Peyton Manning
The record took shape during the Steelers’ 34-22 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, October 11 . In the first quarter, Rodgers connected with running back Jaylen Warren for an 80-yard touchdown, allowing him to surpass the 579 passing touchdowns Peyton Manning recorded over his career.
But Rodgers wasn’t finished there. In the same game, he connected with Pat Freiermuth twice to bring his total to 582 touchdowns, adding scores in the second and fourth quarters.
Drew Brees is next on the list
With 582 passing touchdowns across the regular season and playoffs, Rodgers is now 26 touchdowns away from tying Drew Brees’ mark of 608 and 27 away from surpassing him .
Above them both sits Tom Brady, who leads the all-time rankings with 737 passing touchdowns . That record presents a much bigger challenge, but Brees is Rodgers’ next major target.
