Aaron Rodgers' life is about to change as he hints wife, Brittani, is pregnant
The 42-year-old quarterback gave fans a rare glimpse into the personal future he may be planning beyond the NFL

Aaron Rodgers has spent more than two decades preparing for Sundays, but when asked to picture his life a year from now, football was not part of the answer.
During a Prime Video conversation with Al Michaels before the Pittsburgh Steelers faced the Cleveland Browns , the 42-year-old quarterback was asked where he expected to be once his playing career had ended.
“I’ll either be tending to my pregnant wife or I’ll be taking care of my newborn,” Rodgers said.
The remark immediately drew attention because of how specific it was. Rodgers didn't simply mention spending more time at home with his wife, Brittani .
He directly referenced either a pregnancy or a newborn child. That has naturally fueled speculation, but neither Rodgers nor Brittani have publicly confirmed they're expecting a child.
Rodgers offered rare glimpse beyond football
Rodgers has already said the 2026 season will be his 22nd and final year in the NFL, making questions about life after football increasingly relevant.
He signed a one-year deal with the Steelers in May, reuniting with Mike McCarthy , his former coach with the Green Bay Packers . The move gave Rodgers one more season in the league before what is expected to be a permanent transition away from playing.
That context made his answer to Michaels particularly striking. Instead of talking about broadcasting, coaching or another football-related role, Rodgers pictured a much quieter future centered on family.
It was also notable because Rodgers has generally kept his relationship with Brittani private. Even when discussing his personal life publicly, he has offered relatively few details about their marriage.
Pregnancy speculation remains
Rodgers ’ wording leaves plenty of room for interpretation. It's possible he was speaking hypothetically about what he hopes the next stage of his life might look like.
Rodgers has also been known to use humor in interviews, meaning the comment should not be treated as an official announcement. What it does reveal is that fatherhood appears to be firmly on his mind.
After 22 seasons built around training camps, game plans, injuries and weekly preparation, Rodgers may be looking toward a very different routine once the season ends.
That shift would be significant for one of the NFL’s most recognizable quarterbacks. His answer suggested that retirement may not be defined by stepping away from football as much as stepping into something new.
