Aaron Rodgers slams Donald Trump over broken campaign promises
Rodgers accuses the Trump administration of failing to deliver meaningful change

Aaron Rodgers has launched a blistering attack on Donald Trum p, declaring that the president’s signature MAGA movement is effectively dead because, in his view, Trump hasn’t delivered on many of the promises that helped him win support.
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback made the remarks during a recent appearance on teammate Cam Heyward’s “Not Just Football” podcast.
The discussion about American politics quickly turned into a wide-ranging critique of Trump , Washington and the political establishment.
Rodgers questioned what had actually changed since Trump returned to the White House. He pointed to campaign promises involving government reform, vaccines, foreign conflicts and greater transparency, asking whether voters had really seen the transformation they were promised.
“There's no ‘Make America Great Again’,” said Rodgers .
“Trump gets into office running on all these policies. You know, he's going to go after the swamp and go into Fort Knox and cut the vaccine stuff and not go into foreign wars and end the Ukraine stuff and... what's actually happened?'—transparency in the Epstein files; Absolutely nothing.”
He also pushed back against the assumption that his previous views automatically make him a Trump supporter. Rodgers has frequently attracted controversy over his skepticism toward vaccines and mainstream public-health policies, but he insisted that he doesn’t trust politicians from either side of the political divide.
Rodgers turns his criticism toward Washington
Rodgers ’ frustrations weren’t limited to Trump. The veteran quarterback described American politics as a broader failure, arguing that voters have repeatedly been promised major change only to discover that little ultimately improves.
He pointed to previous Democratic administrations under Barack Obama and Joe Biden , questioning whether either had produced the meaningful progress supporters had hoped for. Rodgers also questioned the impact of the Affordable Care Act and whether healthcare in America is substantially better as a result.
Rodgers also criticized what he characterized as a political “uni-party,” suggesting that powerful interests have too much influence over lawmakers. During the conversation, he questioned the role of lobbying organizations in Washington and argued that political labels often obscure how the system actually operates.
The Steelers quarterback went further by taking aim at FBI Director Kash Patel , whom he reportedly called a “moron,” while once again distancing himself from the “Trumper” label.
Rodgers ’ comments are especially notable because of his previous association with figures in Trump’s political orbit. He has maintained a highly publicized relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., largely because of their shared skepticism surrounding vaccines and conventional public-health policies.
Despite his criticism of Trump, Rodgers continues to support Kennedy , who serves as Trump’s secretary of Health and Human Services.
The White House hadn’t publicly responded to Rodgers ’ comments at the time of reporting. This is just the latest chapter in the quarterback’s increasingly outspoken political profile.
