Four arrested following the shooting of 49ers star Keion White: Major turn in the investigation
Eight months after Keion White was shot, investigators announce major breakthrough

The investigation into the shooting of San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Keion White has taken a significant turn, with four men arrested more than eight months after the incident.
The arrests follow an extensive investigation spanning California and Georgia, as authorities work to establish accountability for the attack.
Law enforcement officials announced the developments on Wednesday, revealing that the investigation, dubbed “Operation D-Line,” involved more than 50 search warrants and assistance from over 250 officers and investigators.
The scale of the operation highlights the effort required to track down those allegedly connected to the shooting.
White was shot in the ankle outside a San Francisco nightclub during Super Bowl weekend in February. According to San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew , several suspects, some reportedly carrying firearms, confronted the NFL player before a physical altercation erupted.
White subsequently underwent surgery and faced a challenging recovery, although he later explained that he initially struggled to understand the severity of his injury.
Alleged gunman faces multiple charges
Gregory Walker , 36, is accused of firing the shot that injured White . Los Angeles police arrested him on October 9, and he faces charges including assault with a firearm, causing great bodily injury, and multiple offenses related to possessing firearms as a convicted felon.
Prosecutors are pursuing the case as investigators continue examining the events surrounding the confrontation.
Curtis Green , 35, was also arrested in connection with the investigation. He faces misdemeanor weapons charges involving the alleged possession of concealed and loaded firearms. Both Walker and Green were reportedly booked into San Francisco County Jail and appeared in court on October 14.
The remaining arrests involved Marquis Davis, 38, and Antoine Washington, 36 . Davis was arrested by Atlanta police, while Washington was taken into custody in Stockton. Authorities reportedly found Davis in possession of prohibited substances.
Washington was allegedly carrying a loaded firearm and controlled substances when officers arrested him. Officials have continued investigating the pair’s alleged involvement as the case progresses.
San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins welcomed the arrests, emphasizing the city’s determination to address gun violence. Police Chief Lew also stressed the importance of committing substantial resources to the investigation, describing the shooting as unacceptable and highlighting the authorities’ efforts to identify those responsible.
Despite the frightening experience, White has returned to football and made an encouraging start to the 2026 season. Originally selected by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, he joined the 49ers through a trade during the 2025 season.
White has recorded three sacks across five games this season, demonstrating his value to San Francisco’s defensive line. His performances are particularly notable given the injury and rehabilitation he endured earlier this year.
The allegations against those arrested will need to be addressed through the legal process as authorities continue pursuing answers about the February shooting.
