Seattle Seahawks vs Kansas City Chiefs LIVE. NFL latest updates, predictions and more

As the Seattle Seahawks prepare to face their former running back Kenneth Walker III , they could receive a much-needed boost of their own in the backfield.
Running back Zach Charbonnet could make his season debut Sunday when the Seahawks host the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs . Charbonnet returned to full practice participation Wednesday and was officially activated from the physically unable to perform list Thursday, opening the door for his return.
His comeback comes at a crucial moment for Seattle, which is trying to rebound from a disappointing 17-14 loss to the Denver Broncos last Thursday night. The defeat marked the third loss of the season for the defending Super Bowl champions .
Seahawks hope Charbonnet can revive struggling rushing attack
Seattle's ground game has been one of its biggest issues through the first six weeks of the season. The Seahawks rank 18th in the NFL , averaging just 107.2 rushing yards per game , with only five rushing touchdowns .
The return of Charbonnet could provide an immediate impact after he missed the entire start of the season while recovering from a torn ACL suffered in January.
"There is a possibility that you can see him on Sunday in some capacity," Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said this week.
Seattle was also expected to receive help from rookie Jadarian Price , but he remains sidelined with a chest/shoulder injury.
Before his injury, Charbonnet delivered a strong 2024 campaign, rushing for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Seahawks.
Kenneth Walker's return creates mixed emotions in Seattle
One of the biggest reasons for Seattle's struggles on the ground has been the departure of Kenneth Walker III , who signed with Kansas City during the offseason and became one of the NFL's most dangerous offensive weapons.
Walker is coming off another dominant performance, rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs' 22-6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers . It marked his fourth 100-yard rushing game of the season .
The former Seahawks star leads the NFL with an average of 133 rushing yards per game and has scored eight total touchdowns this season.
Macdonald admitted Seattle has complicated feelings about seeing Walker return to Lumen Field wearing a different uniform.
"I think there's mixed emotions. We're happy for him, but also, we're trying to figure out ways to stop this guy, too," Macdonald said.
Walker became Seattle's featured running back after Charbonnet's injury and later rushed for 135 yards in the Super Bowl against the Patriots , earning Super Bowl MVP honors .
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid expects Walker to approach his return to Seattle the same way he handles every matchup.
"I think the boys there will try to get after him a little bit. But he's a pretty level-headed guy. The way he plays, you're going to get a good rep when he gets the ball in his hands," Reid said. "He kind of has one speed: He's coming at you. It doesn't matter who he's playing or where he's playing."
Chiefs vs. Seahawks: Key matchup and numbers
