The Monday Night Football game between the Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears produced one of the most talked-about scenes of the day, although it did not happen on the field. During the pregame show, the stadium fireworks exploded very close to a military helicopter that was taking part in the traditional flyover.

The incident was captured in several videos that began circulating on social media. The footage shows how the pyrotechnics were activated while one of the aircraft was still flying over the area around the stadium, in a sequence that generated surprise and concern among spectators.

The moment that surprised NFL fans

Four UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the United States Army took part in the airshow before the game at Lumen Field. The aircraft flew over the stadium in formation, but the timing with the fireworks did not go as planned.

The first helicopters managed to complete the route without incident. However, while the last one was still near the stadium, the pyrotechnic launches began and several explosions lit up the sky a short distance from the aircraft.

The sequence generated a strong reaction among fans. Some users expressed concern about what might have happened, while others pointed to the coordination of the show. Among the comments circulating on social media, one appeared that summed up the feelings of many viewers: "This could have ended badly"

Was the helicopter hit by the fireworks?

Although some users claimed that the fireworks had hit the helicopter, the available footage does not allow confirmation that there was a direct impact. What it does show is how close the explosions were to the aircraft, which continued on its course and moved away from the stadium.

So far, no damage had been reported to the helicopter or any injuries caused by the incident either. The scene, however, raised questions about the coordination and safety measures for this type of show during sporting events.

The night ended with another surprise for Seattle

The aerial incident was not the only piece of bad news for local fans. On the field, the Chicago Bears secured a convincing 34-17 victory over the Seahawks, a result that deepened doubts about the Seattle team's performance.

With this loss, the Seahawks fell to a 4-4 record on the season and complicated their situation in the fight for playoff spots. Thus, a night that promised to be a major celebration at Lumen Field ended up marked by a scene that went beyond the sporting result.
