S tefon Digg s is challenging allegations that he orchestrated an assault against a concierge he suspected of involvement in his stolen Ferrari , arguing that the man suing him has failed to produce evidence linking the athlete to the alleged attack. In recently filed court documents, the Washington Commanders wide receiver denied instructing anyone to beat Nigel King on December 4, 2025, whilst the latter alleges that Diggs blamed him for the disappearance of the luxury car before associates attacked him at a Florida nightclub.

King maintains that he was never charged with, cited for or identified as a suspect in the theft and he has nevertheless accused Diggs of damaging his reputation by telling others that he was responsible for the missing Ferrari . The dispute dates back to July 2024, when King says he was working as a concierge for wealthy clients, including Diggs as he alleges that the footballer hired him to coordinate travel arrangements and other logistics, including the transportation of his Ferrari from Miami to New York . King subsequently filed a lawsuit against Diggs , his brother Darez , and other individuals. He claims the football star spread accusations about his involvement in the theft and believes the alleged assault was carried out at the former New England Patriots player’s direction. Diggs has also denied that any statements he made about King were defamatory and he is asking the court to dismiss multiple claims in the lawsuit and wants his opponent to contribute toward the legal fees he has incurred defending himself.

Diggs and Commanders prepare for tough weekend vs 49ers

On the field, Diggs and Washington travel to the Bay Area to face an unbeaten San Francisco team, with the Commanders seeking a response after surrendering a late lead against the New York Giants . The 49ers arrive confident after defeating the Seattle Seahawks , setting up a demanding test for Jayden Daniels and his teammates after managing a 1-3-1 start, struggling to close out games during a disappointing home stretch – although they remain competitive in the NFC East . Daniels remains Washington 's biggest weapon as he rushed for 103 yards on nine carries and scored twice against New York , giving the offense a potential advantage if San Francisco struggles to contain his mobility. However, the Commanders must protect possession and avoid costly errors against a stronger opponent and a tough defense, which forced four turnovers in their victory over Seattle , with Renardo Green intercepting Sam Darnold twice. Christian McCaffrey contributed 83 total yards and a touchdown, while Mike Evans recorded 113 receiving yards. Fred Warner led the defense with 10 tackles, although Dre Greenlaw will miss the matchup through suspension. San Francisco has averaged 30.8 points per game while allowing just 18.6. Washington , by comparison, scores 23 points per game and concedes 29.8, highlighting the challenge facing the defense and offense.
