Bill Gates’ disturbing AI prediction paints a frightening picture of what could come next
The co-founder of Microsoft has raised major alarms just as AI experts warn about humankind's future.

At this point, it's quite ironic to hear tech moguls speak out on the dangers of AI. After all, they have been and continue to be part of the problem. That's why when Bill Gates sounds the alarm on our future with AI, it comes with some reservations from many.
But Gates' heart seems to be in the right place, for the most part. This past weekend, he once again tried to warn the world about what could be set to come in the near future, unless the AI wave is slowed down in some capacity . Gates didn't just raise the alarm; he sounded it from the very top of the highest mountain.
While speaking at the Telluride Film Festival , Gates followed up his 6,000 word essay on the topic of AI's inherent risks with another eye-opening speech. In it, Gates wondered aloud if this is now "the greatest problem humanity has ever faced" . Gates believes the experts in the AI space, as well as political leaders, are not preparing adequately for what could end up leading to a massive loss of jobs in the world.
The 3 jobs Bill Gates opines should be safe from AI for a while
Not every job is going to be rendered obsolete by AI, though. Gates has predicted three particular jobs that should be safe from the quick advent of AI ; at least for now.
Coders: " AI will need human coders to evolve. If you’re in tech, you’re not out of the game. "
Energy Experts: “ Would you trust AI to run a nuclear reactor? Didn’t think so. ”
Biologists: " AI can process data. But it takes a human to make the breakthrough. "
That should quell fears for some people, but Gates' overall point is terrifying: Millions, if not billions, of people are going to lose their job potentially within a decade, and there's no clear pivot at this moment in time .
