When is the next Costco Pokemon drop and which new products are hitting the shelf?

Major new Pokemon set is days away, with Elite Trainer Boxes and anniversary products leading the next wave of releases

Pokemon card collectors have become accustomed to treating Costco restocks like events, with sought-after products sometimes disappearing almost as quickly as employees can put them on shelves.

That attention is about to intensify again. The Pokemon Trading Card Game ’s new 30th Celebration expansion launches worldwide on September 16, bringing an anniversary lineup designed to appeal heavily to collectors.

Yet anyone waiting specifically for Costco should be careful about treating that date as a confirmed warehouse drop.

Costco hasn't announced a nationwide September 16 Pokemon restock or published a schedule for when individual warehouses will receive the new products. That matters after previous Costco Pokemon releases generated extraordinary demand.

Restocks of Prismatic Evolutions earlier this year attracted crowds at some locations, with one widely circulated incident showing a chaotic scramble over products in a Costco parking lot.

The next major release could bring another rush, but the firm date currently belongs to Pokemon itself rather than Costco .

Which new Pokemon products are being released?

Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration officially arrives September 16 and will be the franchise’s first expansion released simultaneously around the world.

Every booster pack contains five foil cards, including one of 30 different Pikachu illustrations, plus a foil Basic Energy card. Several products are scheduled for the launch period.

The 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box contains nine booster packs, a full-art Nidorina promo, card sleeves, Energy cards and accessories.

Sylveon ex and Greninja ex boxes will each contain four anniversary booster packs alongside promo cards, while a two-pack blister includes an Eevee promo and coin.

Pokemon has also confirmed that the anniversary range will continue expanding after September.

The 30th Celebration Booster Bundle is scheduled for October, while Tech Sticker Collections featuring Alolan Exeggutor or Lucario are due in November.

When is Costco’s next Pokemon drop?

That remains the question without a confirmed answer. Costco currently has no calendar showing exactly when new Pokemon TCG inventory will reach warehouses, and stock can vary substantially between locations.

Collectors should therefore separate the confirmed September 16 Pokemon release from speculation about a Costco-specific drop.

The retailer could receive anniversary merchandise around launch or afterward, but until Costco lists products or warehouses begin receiving inventory, any precise date would be unconfirmed.

That uncertainty is especially relevant because Costco often sells Pokemon products in retailer-specific bundles rather than simply stocking every standard product released elsewhere.

One thing, however, is certain: demand won't be lacking. Pokemon has built the anniversary set around recognizable characters, classic cards and an unusually collector-friendly concept, including a Pikachu in every booster pack.

After the frenzy surrounding previous Costco restocks, collectors may once again find that knowing a product exists is much easier than actually getting one into their cart.
