Aryna Sabalenka compares rings with Georgina Rodríguez and can’t believe the size
Sabalenka’s own ring suddenly looked a little less impressive during their Milan Fashion Week moment
J ewelry has always been an important part of Aryna Sabalenka’s looks. Whenever she steps onto the court, she often wears a different piece that quickly catches attention because of its size and design.
Her engagement ring is certainly one of the biggest in sports , but even Sabalenka could not hide her surprise when she saw the ring Cristiano Ronaldo gave Georgina Rodríguez. The two crossed paths during Milan Fashion Week and ended up comparing their engagement rings, with Rodríguez’s diamond immediately grabbing Sabalenka’s attention.
Sabalenka wanted a closer look
T he two celebrities held their left hands next to each other to compare their rings, creating an unexpected showdown between two of the most talked-about engagement pieces. Sabalenka was particularly interested in Rodríguez’s diamond and even asked to take a picture of it to send to her fiancé, Georgios Frangulis.
She then admired the ring, making it clear how impressed she was by the design and especially by its size. Sabalenka's ring features an oval diamond of more than 12 carats surrounded by emeralds . The piece was designed by jeweler Isabela Grutman, who explained that the emeralds carried a special meaning because they are Sabalenka’s favorite stone.
Rodríguez’s ring put Sabalenka’s in the shadow
Both engagement rings have attracted plenty of attention and are considered one-of-a-kind pieces, but Rodríguez’s stood out even to someone who has access to some of the most expensive jewelry in the world . Its size effectively pushed Sabalenka’s own ring into the background during their comparison.
Rodríguez’s engagement also comes with a notable story. Cristiano Ronaldo proposed to her in August 2025 after years together, and her ring has been estimated at around 37 carats, making it one of the celebrity engagement rings to generate the most attention. Rodríguez has previously joked that after waiting 10 years, it was the least Ronaldo could offer her.
Sabalenka’s own ring is also the result of a search for a particularly large stone. Frangulis revealed that she originally wanted a 15-carat diamond, but he felt a stone that size would have been too much . He eventually found a 12-carat diamond for her engagement ring.
