Shelton is now just one win away from reaching the final, but this win over Alcaraz was a true marquee moment for the 23-year-old . He showed off his trademark energy once the final point was won, then shouted out his support team in the post-match interview . But while doing so, he may have upset his girlfriend, Trinity Rodman .

Shelton had mentioned he hoped his best friend and his sister didn't have to be at work shortly after the match ended , since it ended so late. The camera then panned to the friend and Rodman in the crowd, with the soccer player wondering aloud, "What about me? "
Shelton obviously wasn't forgetting about Rodman. Instead, he probably didn't mention her since the other two work more traditional jobs . Although it's possible that Rodman had to be up early the next day anyway, assuming her team, the Washington Spirit , practice relatively early.
It was a funny moment, with Rodman laughing it off, but she did seem a little perturbed. Still, it's probably much ado about nothing.
