Lucero "La Loba" Acosta’s anticipated debut in the Professional Fighters League (PFL) ended in defeat. The Mexican fighter fell to Shannon Clark by TKO at 1:59 of the third round, after her opponent took control of the fight on the ground and punished her with punches and elbows from the dominant position.
The fight also left an unexpected situation during the broadcast. In the middle of the exchange on the canvas, Acosta's sports top shifted and left part of her chest exposed for a few moments. The incident was quickly commented on social media and added to a difficult night for the Mexican fighter.

Acosta started the fight feeling good. The Mexican fighter took advantage of her reach and managed to keep the exchanges favorable during the opening minutes, while Clark looked to close the distance.
The Canadian found the answer in the third round. After taking the fight to the ground, she managed to get into a dominant position and began unleashing ground and pound on Acosta.
Clark’s elbows caused a wound on the Mexican fighter’s face and forced the referee to intervene at 1:59 of the third round, declaring a technical knockout. Footage of the fight shows Clark maintaining control from the top until the stoppage came.
It was during that same sequence that the problem with Acosta's attire occurred.
The intensity of the fight caused her top to shift and leave part of her chest exposed for a few seconds.

Acosta was looking to begin a new chapter after her years in Combate Global, but her PFL debut ended in the worst sporting way possible.
Clark withstood the Mexican’s strong start, took the fight into her territory, and found the finish in the third round. Acosta, for her part, will now have to wait for another opportunity to earn her first victory in the organization.
