First MMA fight between a human and a "Terminator" robot: it has a "terrifying" ending
The debate over whether robots will eventually dominate humanity was put to the test with an MMA fight between an influencer and a Terminator
Influencer Frankie Lapenna , an American social media sensation with more than 3 million followers on Instagram, received a beating from a 1.80-meter-tall robot in an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fight that was promoted as the first fight between a human and a robot .
'The Rekbot" from Rek Robotics , which s resembles a T-800 from the "Terminator" film franchise , and the influencer locked themselves in a cage to fight in the "Human vs Terminator" bout (Human against Terminator) .'
"I'm scared for you" , a man told Lapenna before fighting the robot.
Lapenna managed to land several blows on the robot, but the "Rekbot" ended up knocking down the influencer with a flying kick.
The famous influencer, who ended up bruised and sore , collapsed onto the canvas and could not get back to his feet.
Social media reactions to the first fight between a human and a robot
The fight had a huge following on social media, and prompted comments such as "fuck the UFC, I want to see more of this", "where did this person get the courage? I would be scared", "a preview of the first episode of Black Mirror season eight", "this is terrifying" or "humans are screwed".
