Hulk Hogan’s estate cashes out on Florida mansion and guesthouse for $8.7 million
Its centerpiece is a sprawling, 1,000-square-foot primary suite equipped with a sitting area

H ulk Hogan’s Florida real estate legacy is entering a new chapter. The estate of the late WWE icon has sold his beachfront mansion in Clearwater for $5.9 million, more than a year after the wrestling legend died following a medical emergency at the property.
The sale comes after the 5,400-square-foot home was initially listed in January for nearly $11 million, meaning the final price was almost half the original asking price. Hogan purchased the property in 2012 for $3.3 million.
Located near Clearwater’s sandy beaches and Gulf Coast waters , the mansion features five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and a half-bathroom. Its centerpiece is a sprawling, 1,000-square-foot primary suite equipped with a sitting area, a Gulf-front terrace , a morning bar, a spa-inspired bathroom and an expansive walk-in closet.
The cottage measures 2,062 square feet
The property’s amenities and waterfront setting made it one of the most recognizable pieces of real estate associated with the wrestling superstar, whose larger-than-life persona helped make him one of the defining figures in WWE history.
The main house was not the only property connected to Hogan to change hands. The estate also sold the guest cottage next door for $2.8 million, bringing the combined sales total to $8.7 million.
The cottage measures 2,062 square feet and includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a half-bathroom, along with modern amenities. It remains unclear whether the same buyer purchased both properties.
Martha Thorn, Hogan’s longtime friend and an agent with the Thorn Collection at Coldwell Banker Realty, represented the listing.
A property tied to Hogan’s final days
The Clearwater home carries particular significance because it was the site of the medical emergency that preceded Hogan’s death last year. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at age 71.
Hogan’s passing marked the end of an era for professional wrestling. Born Terry Bollea, he became one of the sport’s most recognizable stars during the 1980s wrestling boom, helping propel WWE into mainstream entertainment with his charismatic personality, signature look and memorable rivalries.
His career included multiple WWE championship reigns and a central role in landmark events such as WrestleMania . He later became a prominent figure in World Championship Wrestling, where his move to the villainous Hollywood Hogan character helped reshape his public image and the wrestling landscape during the 1990s.
The sale of the Clearwater properties represents another development in the handling of the late star’s estate. Although the mansion ultimately sold for substantially less than its original asking price, the two transactions together generated $8.7 million.
