LeBron James takes a wine break after wild collision sends him into 76ers crowd
The Lakers legend knows how to keep fans entertained, even when things get a little out of hand on the court
L eBron James is fully focused when he steps onto the basketball court, but that does not mean he cannot find ways to break the tension with moments that fans will remember. The 76ers star has shown that he knows how to entertain the crowd, even in the middle of a game, and his latest courtside interaction was another example.
Philadelphia had things under control against the Chicago Bulls, although it was not the most dominant performance of the season against a struggling opponent. The 76ers eventually pulled away late to secure the win, but J ames managed to provide one of the night's most talked-about moments along the way.
A courtside moment worth remembering
The moment that stole the spotlight came after James collided with the crowd and found himself close to a fan holding a glass of wine . LeBron played along by pretending to take a sip, giving the impression that he was enjoying a quick wine break in the middle of the action . He did not actually drink from the fan's glass, but t he gesture was enough to get people talking.
This is not the first time James has pretended to enjoy an alcoholic drink while sitting courtside. His playful side has become part of his personality, and he continues to find ways to connect with fans beyond what he does during the game.
LeBron is making his presence felt in Philadelphia
Although James is no longer the same player he was during his prime, he has still proven to be a valuable addition to the 76ers this season. His basketball IQ and ability to attack in transition has added another dimension to Philadelphia's offense . He has also taken a step forward defensively compared to what fans saw from him during his final seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Moments like this also show that James wants to win over the Philadelphia crowd both on and off the court. Beyond his contribution to the team's performance, building that connection with the fans is another way to make his arrival worthwhile . The 76ers improved to 7-1 in the 2026-27 NBA season after defeating Chicago, and LeBron has already found ways to make his presence felt.
