The absurd estimated value of New York Knicks' championship rings will blow your mind
The extraordinary jewelry features nearly 800 gemstones and a moving miniature Madison Square Garden

Winning an NBA championship is a priceless achievement, but the New York Knicks have given that expression a new meaning with an extraordinary piece of jewelry celebrating their long-awaited return to the top of basketball.
Players received their championship rings during a ceremony at Madison Square Garden on October 20, marking the franchise's first title since 1973 following its Finals victory over the San Antonio Spurs .
The rings were created by luxury jewelry designer Jason Arasheben , whose company, Jason of Beverly Hills , has produced championship jewelry for several major American sports franchises.
Featuring 22 carats of diamonds and sapphires, more than 180 grams of gold and almost 800 individually mounted stones, the design has attracted attention well beyond basketball.
Although the Knicks haven't disclosed the manufacturing cost, jewelry specialist Neil Dutta believes each ring could carry an extraordinary six-figure valuation.
"I'd estimate the New York Knicks' championship rings could be worth up to $250,000 each," Dutta , managing director of Angelic Diamonds, told the New York Post.
He pointed to the Golden State Warriors ' 2022 championship rings, which reportedly cost approximately $108,000 each to produce, as a useful comparison.
"Given the greater combined gemstone weight and the complexity of the Knicks' design, I think a valuation approaching $250,000 is plausible," Dutta added, "although the quality of the individual stones would ultimately influence that figure."
The estimate reflects the materials and craftsmanship involved rather than a confirmed production cost.
Arasheben declined to provide a specific price when asked about the rings during an appearance on CBS Mornings.
"It's like asking how much the Mona Lisa is. It's priceless," he said.
Knicks ring unlike ordinary championship jewelry
The design's most distinctive feature is a miniature recreation of Madison Square Garden concealed within a movable centerpiece.
Turning the ring raises a detailed representation of the arena's exterior, while the removable section incorporates elements of the building's interior.
Dutta explained that combining moving mechanical components with hundreds of carefully mounted gemstones presents significant manufacturing challenges.
"Every component has to fit precisely, and the settings need to remain secure when the ring is opened and closed," he said.
The jewelry also contains several references to New York's championship run.
A 0.16-carat diamond represents the team's 16-point comeback in the decisive Game 5, while 16 emerald-cut diamonds commemorate its playoff victories.
An engraving reading "Knicks in Five" celebrates the five-game Finals victory over San Antonio.
Fans can purchase commemorative championship rings
Although the player-issued rings are not available for general purchase, Jason of Beverly Hills has created a limited collection for supporters.
The most exclusive fan version costs $19,995, with only 200 individually numbered rings produced.
More affordable commemorative merchandise is also available, including a $299 option made using less expensive materials.
Arasheben explained that the championship ring was intended to capture the franchise's identity rather than simply showcase precious gemstones.
"The ring was designed to capture the team's identity and the defining moments of its title run," he said.
After waiting more than five decades for another championship, the Knicks have commemorated their achievement with a design that reflects both the magnitude of their success and the history of Madison Square Garden.
