A magical 2026 season for the Atlanta Dream has come to an end in the most heartbreaking fashion. Going toe-to-toe with the Golden State Valkyries in the Bay Area, Angel Reese and co. lost by five points in Game 7 and came away from the WNBA Finals empty-handed. Still, there's plenty to be optimistic about.

Reese herself knows that very well. After two brutal collective seasons with the Chicago Sky , Reese got her first taste of playoff basketball in her first season with the Dream, and they made it all the way to the final possible game together. That's more than enough for Reese to continue dreaming big despite the tough loss .

Angel Reese: Atlanta Dream "changed my life"

During her postgame press conference, Reese made sure to reiterate her gratefulness for the Dream organization and her teammates . She was clearly battling a lot of emotions, but she remained positive .

I mean, yeah, it's tough. Especially with the great group that, honestly [it's been an] honor to battle with all year. They changed my life, and I'm so grateful for them, and I'm so thankful for them. It is tough in the moment, but we'll be back. I always say, delayed not denied. This is only Year 3... I'm just really grateful that I got to go to war with this group and I would do it again, all over again.

Reese made a big impact on the boards with 12 rebounds and was her usual dominant self on the defensive end. She was only able to muster eight points in Game 7 after struggling offensively the past three games.

Her haters have now come out in full force, pinpointing a karmic moment where Reese was teasing the Valkyries during the Dream's 97-71 victory in Game 3 . Since then, it all went downhill on the offensive end for her.

Reese has nothing to apologize for, though; that confident attitude is what got her and the Dream this far. She isn't going to change it, and the Dream don't want her to.
