Caitlin Clark teases “Caitlin 2” as Nike prepares more signature shoe releases

Caitlin Clark is already looking beyond her first signature shoe. In a Nov. 3 appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast , the Indiana Fever star said she is working on the Nike Caitlin 2 and expects to move into it during the 2027 season.

“I'm already working on the Caitlin 2,” Clark said, adding that she would not disappoint her fans. She did not reveal a release date, price or first look at the shoe, so the model remains in development.

Clark said she plans to begin next season in the "Caitlin 1" before transitioning to the "Caitlin 2". Nike launched her first signature basketball shoe globally on Oct. 1, building the line around personal details tied to her speed, shooting range and style of play.

There are still "Caitlin 1" releases on the way. Clark described a summer colorway inspired by a Rocket Pop popsicle and said she plans to save it for next year. She also teased an All-Star release tied to Phoenix, which will host the 2027 NBA All-Star Game.

Caitlin also hinted at a possible collaboration with another major Nike name, but she did not identify the person or confirm that a deal is in place. A Chiefs-inspired "Caitlin 1" is expected to arrive Dec. 21, according to sneaker release coverage.

Nike has not announced the "Caitlin 2’s" design or launch details. For now, the next chapter is taking shape alongside more Caitlin 1 colorways.
