Kylie Kelce shamelessly tries to recruit Caitlin Clark for Philadelphia's new WNBA team
Jason Kelce's wife took advantage of her conversation with the Indiana Fever star to try to convince her to join the franchise that will debut in 2030. Clark's response left the conversation open.

Kylie Kelce didn’t want to miss the opportunity. During her meeting with Caitlin Clark on Not Gonna Lie , Jason Kelce’s wife tried to convince the Indiana Fever star to join Philadelphia’s future team, a franchise scheduled to debut in the WNBA in 2030. The host even admitted that she is willing to work several years in advance to make it happen.
The conversation took place in the special podcast episode published this Tuesday, November 3. Clark, 24, responded humorously to the proposal and even mentioned her agent, although she did not announce any concrete interest in leaving Indiana.
Kylie Kelce is already thinking of Caitlin Clark for Philadelphia’s team
"As a lifelong Philadelphia resident, I also spoke with Dawn Staley about the WNBA team we’ll have in Philly in 2030. I have five years to do it, but I’m going to start right now. How can I recruit you to Philadelphia?", Kylie asked the player.
Clark did not rule out the possibility, but she also gave no signs of preparing for a team change. "I’m going to have to talk to my agent", she replied with a laugh. The response was enough for Kelce to press on with her goal: "I’m going to play the long game to get the best in the world to come to Philadelphia. I’ll come back to this."
The new WNBA franchise will debut in 2030
The arrival of a professional women's team to Philadelphia is now confirmed. The WNBA and the NBA officially approved the league's expansion on April 9, 2026. The franchise will begin competing in 2030 and will be based in the southern part of the city.
This is not the first time Kylie has tried to attract a star from the competition. In a previous conversation with A"ja Wilson, Las Vegas Aces standout , she also took the opportunity to talk to her about the Philadelphia project and ask how she could convince her to play there. The host seems determined to help build a competitive roster even before the team plays its first game.
For now, Clark remains tied to the Indiana Fever and has not expressed any intention of changing franchises. In fact, when speaking about Philadelphia, she gave one final response that sums up the lighthearted tone of the exchange: if she doesn’t end up playing there, she will at least have to visit the city once or twice per season as an opponent.
