Secret details about Nike Caitlin Clark 2 sneakers and the incredible collaboration Indiana Fever star is working on
The Indiana Fever superstar has confirmed her next signature sneaker is already in development

Caitlin Clark has already experienced the excitement surrounding the release of her first signature basketball shoe, but the Indiana Fever superstar believes her next Nike collection could offer something even more ambitious.
With demand for the Caitlin 1 exceeding expectations following its October launch, the 24-year-old has revealed that development of the Caitlin 2 is already underway, alongside discussions about a possible collaboration with another major Nike athlete.
Clark shared the details during an appearance on Kylie Kelce 's Not Gonna Lie podcast, where a conversation about upcoming sneaker colors turned into a broader discussion about her plans for the 2027 WNBA season.
The Fever guard explained that she intends to begin next season wearing her original signature model before gradually introducing its successor, suggesting fans will have to wait several months for the new design.
"So next year I'll play at the beginning of the season in the Caitlin 1s and then we'll work into the Caitlin 2s. I'm already working on the Caitlin 2s. It's good too. I would not disappoint," Clark said.
Clark teases mystery Nike collaboration
Although Clark 's confirmation of a second signature shoe attracted attention, her suggestion of a potential collaboration with another established Nike basketball star could prove even more significant.
"Possible, maybe, a collab shoe with another big Nike name. People can probably guess, a collab basketball shoe would be pretty cool. I'm sure they'd be hard to get," she revealed.
The conversation also revealed details about an upcoming summer-themed design inspired by Rocket Pop ice lollies, which Clark originally considered wearing during the 2026 campaign.
"There's this one that's kind of like a summer vibe, you know like a Rocket pop, it's based off of that and it's really cool. I was about to wear it this year but I didn't, I'll save it for next summer," she explained.
That colorway would provide another addition to the Caitlin 1 range while Nike prepares to introduce its successor later in the season.
Nike's investment in Clark continues to pay off
The latest developments come just weeks after Clark 's first signature shoe reached the market, with early demand demonstrating the commercial potential surrounding one of basketball's most recognizable young stars.
The Caitlin 1 launched on October 1, with initial releases attracting considerable interest among collectors and basketball supporters. Its appeal has also extended into the NBA, where Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham has worn Clark's footwear.
Clark signed a reported eight-year, $28 million agreement with Nike in April 2024, establishing a long-term partnership that includes her own signature collection.
Her involvement in designing the shoes has been particularly important, with Clark previously explaining that she wanted footwear combining performance with distinctive colors and personal expression.
However, Clark 's latest revelations suggest Nike is already preparing to build on the success of her debut collection, with the next chapter of her signature line taking shape well before the 2027 season begins.
